Microsoft fulfil delivery of its promise of Windows 10 in new Lumia devices

Microsoft Mobile devices last week in Lagos delivered its promise of Windows 10 operating system, OS, in its latest flagships, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL respectively. Microsoft Nigeria, today, unveiled two of its latest Windows 10 mobile flagship smartphones; Lumia 950 and 950 XL, which shares the same code-base with Windows 10 desktop OS. The smart devices deliver a familiar and consistent experience that extends across your Windows devices, including innovative features like Windows Hello beta for Lumia and Continuum for phones. Combined with stunning HD displays, new PureView cameras with 20 megapixel sensors and triple LED natural flash that shoot 4K video, as well as the latest in processing power, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL represent the best innovation from Microsoft. Interestingly, the Windows 10 feature allows people to use their phone like a PC by connecting it to a monitor and transforming it for larger-screen entertainment, or adding a keyboard and mouse to work like a PC with Windows 10 apps like Microsoft Office, while simultaneously taking calls or performing other tasks. The Continuum for phones feature combined with the Microsoft Display Dock enables you to connect the phones to a monitor, mouse and keyboard and work like a PC.”, he said. On the specs side, the Lumia 950 features a 5.2-inch AMOLED Display with 2560×1440 pixel resolution (564ppi). It is powered by 1.8HHz Snapdragon 808 64- bit hexa-core processor, has 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for external storage. Lumia 950XL sports a bigger 5.7-inch IPS display (2,560 x 1440 pixel) and 518ppi pixel density. Under the hood, the smartphone packs a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
